Word Forge | HTML5 Educational Word Puzzle Game

Players swipe across a wheel of letters to spell words that fill a small crossword. Every word they find shows what it means, so they learn the meaning and not only the spelling. Bring your own list (weekly spelling words, ESL vocabulary, science, medical or brand terms) and the game builds the puzzles by itself.

Four modes

• Journey: endless levels in chapters; every chapter ends with a review round of the words the player found hard
• Daily Forge: one puzzle a day, the same for every player of your site, with a streak
• Spelling Test: the word is read aloud and its meaning shown; the player types it; the result lists the words to practise
• Word Search: a classic word search from the same list

Built around your own word list

• Word List Editor (offline page): word, meaning, category, difficulty; import from Excel or Google Sheets as CSV; checks for duplicates and unusable words
• Puzzles are made automatically from any list; everyday words that fit the same wheel complete the crossword
• Seven built-in packs with meanings: Grade 1 to Grade 5, English basics (ESL), advanced vocabulary, plus 3 100 everyday words for bonus words
• Accented letters work: make a Spanish or French list and the game uses it

No coding needed

• Settings Editor (offline page): title, colours, language, word source, modes, puzzle size, coins and hint prices
• Artwork: replace PNGs with the same name and size (editable SVG sources included)
• Fills the whole screen at any size and shape (phones, tablets, 4:3, 16:9, ultra-wide), no black bars
• Runs anywhere: any hosting, sub-folder, iframe, even double-click index.html offline (kiosks, USB, no internet)

• Progress report: words found, words to practise, spelling test results, last activities, CSV export
• SCORM 1.2 and 2004 packages: Moodle, LearnDash, Blackboard, Canvas, TalentLMS, SCORM Cloud (score, completion, passed or failed, time)
• xAPI / Tin Can statements to any LRS
• WordPress plugin included: [edu_game] shortcode, per-user results, [edu_leaderboard], GamiPress / myCred hook
