Lumen is a self hosted, white label platform that measures exactly that. It sends your buyers’ real questions to the major AI answer engines through their official APIs, samples each prompt repeatedly, and reports whether you were mentioned, whether you were cited, how much of the answer space you own against named competitors, and what to fix.

Lumen is an AI powered product. Its core function — measuring how a brand appears in AI generated answers — is carried out by large language models operated by other companies. Lumen contains no model of its own and produces no measurements on its own. Every live run, every score derived from one, and every recommendation it writes is generated by an external AI service that you connect using your own API key. AI generated output can vary between runs, can be incomplete, and can be wrong; Lumen reports the sample size behind every figure for exactly that reason, and results should be reviewed before being presented to a client as fact.

Those services cost money, and that money is not included in the price of this item. This purchase buys the software and its source code. It does not include, resell, or cover usage of any third party service. To run live measurements you need your own paid account with one or more AI providers — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, xAI or DeepSeek — and each of them bills you directly for what you use. To charge your own clients you need your own Stripe account, which charges its own fees. What makes this different from an SEO rank tracker

Rank trackers measure blue links. Lumen measures the answer itself. Three things follow from that, and they are the whole product:

• One question is a coin flip. AI answers change between identical questions, so a single screenshot proves nothing. Every prompt runs several times on every engine and every number is reported with the sample size behind it.
• Being named is not being cited. A brand can be described glowingly in an answer that links only to a competitor’s blog. Lumen parses the real linked sources behind each answer, so you can see the domains an engine actually trusts for your category.
• Findings become work. Gaps turn into an ordered list of actions, so the report ends with what to do rather than a wall of charts.
